Protecting Primates and Biodiversity in the Congo Basin

The Primate and Biodiversity Conservation Alliance (PBCA) is a non-governmental organization based in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our mission is to protect primates and conserve the extraordinary biodiversity of the Congo Basin — one of the largest and most important tropical forest ecosystems on Earth.

PBCA works at the intersection of science, conservation, technology, and community engagement. Through field research, ecological monitoring, exploration of ecologically valuable areas, and partnerships with local communities and academic institutions, we contribute to sustainable solutions that protect nature while supporting human well-being.
We also integrate modern tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial data analysis, and environmental monitoring technologies to better understand ecosystems, track environmental changes, and support evidence-based conservation decisions.
